We are seeking an outgoing and organized individual with a strong interest and practice in the wellness community. He or she should be a self starter, a natural leader and networker, interested in the current wellness trends, and excited about sharing and growing the brand and message of the studio.
The studio manager is responsible for the facilities, scheduling, customer service, and community-building aspects of the business.
Running the facilities on a day to day, hour by hour basis; keeping the studio clean and in tip top shape.
Being the face of Sangha Yoga Shala by communicating enthusiastically and respectfully with our members and patrons, always with a consistent and strong expression of the highest customer service.
Offering thoughtful, clear communications with Studio Director, management colleagues, teachers, and work study.
Essential Job Duties of the Yoga Studio
Manages the front desk staff: receptionists, cleaning staff, and work study/interns.
Sells yoga class packages and products to patrons.
Attends to customer service needs: answers a multitude of phone calls and emails; administers Mind Body Online; keeps customer accounts accurate and up to date; resolves customer needs and complaints; manages membership contracts; collects overdue accounts; deals with lost and found items; signs in classes.
Manages facility: sets appropriate levels for heating/cooling systems; maintains cleanliness (hires and manages work study, schedules cleaning or maintenance when necessary); keeps supplies stocked; repairs equipment as needed.
Other duties: keeps the news/events sandwich board clean and up to date; creates and sends e-newsletter; manages the creation of marketing materials; runs errands; plans events and visiting teacher workshops
Sales, Marketing & Staff Duties
Hires, trains, supervises, and mentors all studio staff.
Motivates and leads the team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Organizes and prepares reports for weekly meetings with studio director
Organizes and leads quarterly staff meetings.
Organizes and leads teacher meetings.
Drives revenue and new membership targets with staff and takes active measures to ensure the studio hits monthly target goals (to be set with Studio Director).
Conducts studio tours and rental rate presentations.
Works to reduce attrition and increase retention of clients.
Establishes external relationships/partnerships within the community. Develops community events and drives grassroots marketing efforts.
Collaborates on studio promotions and events.
Manages studio budget.
Develops, communicates, and enforces all Sangha Yoga Shala policies and procedures.
